Workshop on Supporting the Treatment of Chronic Diseases Without Drugs

BHG - On the afternoon of May 9, the Provincial Oriental Medicine Association organized a Workshop on Supporting the Treatment of Chronic Diseases by Non-Medical Methods. Attending were representatives of the Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital, Oriental Medicine Associations of districts and cities; and traditional medicine clinics in the province.

Overview of the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Meritorious Physician, Specialist I, Chairman of the Provincial Council Nguyen Thi Duc emphasized: The trend of rapidly increasing chronic diseases is becoming a health burden for people and the health system. In that context, the role of traditional medicine in the treatment of chronic diseases is increasingly affirmed to be effective, safe and consistent with the trend of sustainable health development. Through the workshop, it contributes to orienting and promoting the wider application of non-drug treatment methods in health care and improvement. At the same time, it is an opportunity to exchange expertise, share experiences and safe complementary treatment technical solutions and update new knowledge on non-drug treatment.

At the workshop, doctors and experts informed about some common chronic diseases, including clarifying the concept, causes, some symptoms, complications, treatment and prevention methods. At the same time, popularizing non-drug treatment methods according to traditional medicine including: Acupuncture; massage, acupressure; thread implantation, steam bath; candle application, cupping; soaking... In addition, learning about models, products, and equipment supporting the treatment of chronic diseases through the method of bio-energy steam bath.
