Competition to celebrate International Nurses Day 2025: Central Highlands General Hospital

The organizers awarded souvenir flags to the competing teams.

The contest to celebrate International Nurses Day 2025 with the theme "Our nurses, our future, let's care about nursing to boost the economy" was held to review the glorious tradition of the nursing profession, thereby educating the political qualities and professional ethics of nurses in the entire health sector; fostering love for the profession, encouraging nursing staff to promote the noble values of nursing in performing assigned duties and tasks; launching a movement to compete in learning in nursing care and service for patients, aiming to improve the quality of patient care better and better.

Nursing staff light candles in gratitude on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of International Nurses Day (May 12, 1965 - May 12, 2025).

The contest also assessed the capacity, knowledge, skills, and practice of patient care and first aid of nurses in medical facilities; created solidarity, learning, and experience exchange in management and implementation of professional tasks of nurses in hospitals in the province.

Central Highlands General Hospital – Team 1 won first prize overall.

During the 2 days, 28 teams from medical facilities and hospitals in the province went through 2 parts of the competition: theory and running stations in a direct format. The participating teams answered 50 theoretical questions and ran 3 stations; each station the contestants performed on the model 1 technical process/5 minutes (station 1 is the intravenous injection process; station 2 is the temporary fixation process for closed fractures of 2 tibia bones; station 3 is the wound dressing change process).

The organizing committee awarded the second prize to the whole team.

The Organizing Committee awarded the Second Prize to the Central Highlands General Hospital - Team 2 and Buon Ma Thuot City General Hospital.

As a result, the First Prize for the collective went to the Central Highlands General Hospital - Team 1; the Central Highlands General Hospital - Team 2 and Buon Ma Thuot City General Hospital won the Second Prize for the collective; Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, M'Drak District Medical Center and Krong Pac District Medical Center won the Third Prize for the collective; Thien Hanh General Hospital, Krong Ana District Medical Center, Cu M'gar District Medical Center, and Regional General Hospital 333 won the Encouragement Prize.

Nurse Nguyen Thi Hieu, Regional General Hospital 333 won first prize individually.

In the individual category: First Prize was awarded to nurse Nguyen Thi Hieu, Regional General Hospital 333.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded secondary prizes including: The team with the highest theoretical score of M'Drak District Medical Center; The team with the highest practical score of Tay Nguyen General Hospital - Team 1; The team with the best greeting performance of Tay Nguyen General Hospital - Team 1.
