On the afternoon of March 23, 2024, the District Farmers' Association was assigned by the Organizing Committee of activities to celebrate the 1100th birthday of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang to preside over the organization of the King's Offerings Contest (salty offerings) and the clay pot rice cooking contest with the participation of 21 teams from 21 communes and towns in Gia Vien district.
The competition attracted a large number of people to watch and cheer for the teams.
The contest aims to commemorate and deeply express gratitude for the great contributions of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang in the cause of building and defending the country, contributing to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural traditions of the nation, promoting the potential economic and social strengths, and the unique culinary culture of Gia Vien.
With the spirit of learning and exchange, joyfulness, solemnity, and high educational value, the offerings to the king are typical and special local dishes, ensuring food hygiene and safety and expressing deep gratitude and respect to pay tribute to King Dinh Tien Hoang.
The King Offerings Contest is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang.
At the end, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Gia Phuong Commune team, the Second Prize to Gia Vuong Commune team and Me Town team, the Third Prize to Gia Phong, Gia Thang, Lien Son communes, and 4 Encouragement Prizes to Gia Hoa, Gia Lap, Gia Xuan, Gia Phu commune teams.
