Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association of Lao Cai Province: Welcoming 14 sets of martyrs' remains to the locality

From July 7 to 10, the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association of Lao Cai province organized a delegation to welcome 14 sets of remains of Lao Cai martyrs who were resting in cemeteries in the South back to their locality.

Accordingly, the delegation received 1 set of martyrs' remains from Lao Cai province resting at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Quang Binh province and 13 sets of martyrs' remains from Lao Cai province resting at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery (Quang Tri province).

The delegation offered incense and performed traditional rituals at cemeteries before moving the martyrs' remains back to their localities.

After completing the necessary procedures, the delegation brought 14 sets of martyrs' remains back to the province safely, handed them over to the local authorities, the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association of Lao Cai city, Bao Thang, Bao Yen, Van Ban districts and the martyrs' relatives to receive and bury the martyrs' remains solemnly, in accordance with current regulations and local traditional customs.

The delegation safely moved and handed over 14 sets of martyrs' remains to localities and their relatives to organize burials according to regulations.

It is known that the entire cost of moving and bringing the martyrs’ remains back to their localities was mobilized by the Truong Son – Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association of Lao Cai province, mobilizing members and social resources. The amount of money to support the movement of martyrs’ remains according to State regulations will be given to the martyrs’ relatives.

This is an activity that shows deep camaraderie and also a tribute to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
