Recently, at the historical site of the Central Security Department of the Southern Region (Tay Ninh province), the Ministry of Public Security organized the Art Exchange program Keeping the Oath - Connecting Rivers to commemorate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).

With the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", the program "Keeping the oath - Connecting rivers" this year is a tribute to and honor of the great contributions and merits of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the Revolution in the cause of fighting for national independence and protecting the Fatherland, especially the cadres, soldiers and people's police who followed the sacred call of the Fatherland, once split the Truong Son range to save the country, regardless of their own lives, supporting the Southern battlefield, gloriously completing the task of protecting the North, liberating the South, and unifying the country.
Sharing at the program, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the art exchange program organized on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day demonstrates the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", contributing to educating patriotism, national pride, promoting the spirit of readiness to fight and sacrifice of each officer and soldier, continuing to promote and foster the heroic revolutionary tradition of the heroic People's Public Security force.
At the beginning of the program, the leaders and delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh , the great leader of the nation; the heroic martyrs and many generations of leaders of the Party and State who devoted their intelligence and strength for the independence and prosperity of the country and the beloved General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong who has just passed away, leaving our people with infinite sorrow.
The art exchange program Keeping the Oath - Connecting the Rivers with many performances of many genres of music, animation, documentary reports, is portrayed through 3 chapters, with content: Chapter 1 - River of Ambition ; Chapter 2 - River of Fire and Flowers ; Chapter 3 - River of Desire.
Chapter 1 The River of Ambition opened with the song Grateful to Vo Thi Sau and the moving scene Immortal Flower . Along with that, many other songs such as Up to the Mountains , Spring in the War Zone , My Village of Quan Ho , Cau Ho on the banks of Hien Luong , Vam Co Dong ... and many dance and singing scenes took the audience on a long journey, from when the security soldier said goodbye to his lover and went to the South to fight...
With the documentary The Battle of a Lifetime (talking about the fight against the enemy's largest and longest-running military operation called Junction City ), the content of chapter 2 of the program The River of Fire and Flowers with many songs such as March of the Day and the Night , Red Leaves , The Storm Has Risen , Marching to Saigon , the traditional song Bong Lily Do and the scene Con Mai Trong Tim reminded us of a heroic and difficult time of the Southern revolution.
Chapter 3 - The River of Desire had a truly heroic and glorious ending. During the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, completely liberating the South and unifying the country, the Ministry of Public Security mobilized to the highest level of forces, weapons and specialized technical equipment; supporting 4,500 officers with experience in work and combat, bringing the total number of Public Security officers supporting the Southern battlefield to more than 11,000 comrades.
Keeping the Oath is a program to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs of the People's Public Security Forces, implemented by VTV8 - Vietnam Television in coordination with the Department of Party and Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) from 2022, towards commemorating and paying tribute to War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27) with the support of units: Hanoi Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation (HABECO); Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank); "Vietnamese Mother - Vietnamese Family" - Halotimes' communication campaign.
