Grading starts today, grade 10 exam results expected to be announced on June 20

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, it is expected to announce the 10th grade exam scores on June 20 and the benchmark scores on June 24.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, from today (June 12), the grading of the 10th grade entrance exam in 2023 will be carried out and is expected to be completed on June 17.

The 2023 grade 10 entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6 and 7.

This year, the number of 9th grade students in Ho Chi Minh City who are expected to graduate from junior high school is 113,802. Of which, the total number of candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam is 96,325, divided into groups: candidates who only register for 3 regular wishes are 88,237; candidates who register for integrated wishes are 1,147; candidates who register for specialized wishes are 6,941, of which 236 are from other provinces.

Candidates take the exam in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language.

Admission score to grade 10 is usually = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score.

For specialized and integrated grade 10, candidates must take additional specialized and integrated subject exams. Admission score for specialized grade 10 = math score + literature score + foreign language score + specialized subject score x 2.

Right after the exam ended, from June 8-10, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City started making exam papers and preparing equipment for the exam scoring.

On June 11, the Department held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Examination Board, the Head of the Examination Board, and the Deputy Head of the Examination Board, and carried out the examination marking work from June 12 to 17. The next specific timelines for the 10th grade admission work in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City are as follows:

- From June 12-17: Marking. From June 18-19: Checking, comparing and contrasting test results with computer results. June 20: Expected announcement of test results.

June 21: Receive applications for exam review. June 24: Announce admission scores for specialized and integrated high schools and direct admission results.

- From June 15-29: Candidates admitted to specialized high schools, integrated high schools and direct admissions submit their admission applications to the schools they were admitted to. June 30: Announcement of review results.

- July 10: Announcement of grade 10 admission scores and list of admitted candidates. From July 11 to August 1: Candidates admitted to high school submit their admission application to the school they were admitted to.
