More than 12,600 officers and soldiers of Da Nang support people in flood-hit areas

In recent days, facing the complicated situation of floods and rains, seriously affecting people's lives, the Da Nang City Military Command has proactively and urgently deployed forces, vehicles, and rescue plans in the city.

The Da Nang City Military Command has mobilized more than 2,600 officers and soldiers of the regular force, 10,000 militia and reserve forces to be on duty at key points, ready to mobilize to support the evacuation of people, transport necessities, search and rescue and overcome consequences.

The vehicles put into effective use include 32 cars, 20 trucks, bulldozers, 14 canoes, 8 boats, and flying equipment to observe the terrain, identify isolated areas, support forces to quickly approach and transport relief goods to the people safely and promptly.

Early in the morning of October 30, the Da Nang City Military Command urgently ordered troops to be deployed, officers and soldiers immediately mobilized to deeply flooded areas, resolutely carrying out rescue missions in conditions of rapidly rising floodwaters and bad weather.

Commanders at all levels regularly stay close to the area, directly present at hot spots, promptly direct and ensure the fastest and safest support for people.

Up to now, the city's armed forces have donated more than 2,500 meals, over 1,000 necessities, and 1 ton of purified water to serve 1,200 patients, 400 family members, and 155 doctors and nurses at medical facilities heavily affected by floods.

The Da Nang City Military Command also made every effort, mobilizing all available equipment and materials, spreading to all directions, isolated and heavily flooded areas, and being on standby to support people in all situations. The timely presence of the army helped people feel secure and confident to overcome the disaster.

To promptly encourage the spirit of the forces on duty in extremely dangerous conditions, the Da Nang City Military Command has unexpectedly awarded more than 150 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in supporting people to respond to floods, adding will and determination to officers and soldiers to continue to stay at hot spots, deeply spreading the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.

With the weather forecast to remain complicated, the armed forces of Da Nang city will continue to closely coordinate with local forces and authorities, resolutely ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, effectively implementing the motto "Where the people need, the army is there; where the people are in difficulty, the army is there".
