At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Mercedes-Benz's booth attracted a large number of visitors with the appearance of the GLC EQ. The German brand's luxury electric SUV impressed at first sight. Compared to the gasoline engine version, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ is significantly larger in size, with length x width x height of 4,845 x 1,913 x 1,644 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,972 mm.
The overall design is easily recognizable thanks to the illuminated matrix grille consisting of 942 LED points, creating a unique lighting effect every time the car starts. The Digital Light headlight cluster integrates three-pointed star-shaped daytime running lights, synchronized with the rear LED taillights - a detail that clearly demonstrates the new design language of the German brand. Large air intakes and a sporty rear bumper help the electric SUV retain the strong style of the traditional GLC line. 10-spoke black wheels and hidden door handles complete the modern, seamless style of this luxury electric SUV.
In terms of interior, the GLC EQ impresses with a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen interface that spans almost the entire width of the dashboard. The car has an electronic gear lever located behind the steering wheel, a dual wireless charging pad, and bright white leather upholstery that gives a modern and luxurious feel. In addition to the main luggage compartment with a standard capacity of 570 liters, the GLC EQ also has a small storage compartment of 128 liters in the front, convenient for flexible luggage arrangement. When the rear seats are folded, the total storage volume reaches 1,740 liters. Powering the GLC EQ 400 4MATIC are two electric motors, producing 489 horsepower and 808 Nm of torque, combined with a full-time four-wheel drive system. The car takes just 4.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h.
The 94 kWh battery pack gives the car a maximum range of 713 km/charge, one of the most impressive figures in the luxury electric SUV segment. Thanks to the 800V electrical architecture, the car supports fast charging with a capacity of 320-330 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10-80% in just 22 minutes. According to plan, the Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ 400 4MATIC will be available at dealers from 2026, while the GLC 300+ EQ version is expected to launch in early 2027. Currently, the car price has not been officially announced.
