At this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Aston Martin, Denison Yachting, and legendary yacht designers Bannenberg & Rowell Design unveiled a stunning two-model collection that combines the grace of a yacht hull with the sculpted precision of a grand tourer. Aptly named Above & Beyond, the collection includes two unique V12 Vanquish models: a Coupe dubbed Above and a convertible Volante dubbed Beyond, each representing a unique expression of automotive art.
Commissioned by Holman Motorcars Fort Lauderdale and created through Aston Martin's Elite Q personalization program, the duo of yachts are designed to "capture the spirit of the ocean." Both Aston Martin Vanquish models have a subtle nautical feel, conveying the elegance and graceful composure of yachts at port. Starting with the exterior, both cars are finished in a light silver, a colour chosen for its sophistication and timelessness, as well as its “subtle blue reflections in the sunlight”. On the lower hull, the glossy blue carbon fiber panels are divided by a thin silver stripe, reminiscent of the elegant shoe stripes often found on luxury yachts. Small but meaningful details are incorporated throughout.
Each wing mirror housing features a red stripe on the driver’s side and a blue stripe on the passenger side, mirroring traditional port and starboard position lights. Chrome trim, black V12 logos and Scintilla silver heat-retaining louvres complete the sleek look, showcasing the design team’s attention to detail. The nautical inspiration continues inside the cabin, with interiors that reflect the serenity and luxury of a yacht salon. Notable details include Glacier White leather upholstery, complete with V-shaped quilting that extends across the doors and center armrest, intricate stitching inspired by the waves a ship’s bow makes at speed, and satin and gloss blue carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin. Each car features a custom sill plaque marking the partnership between Aston Martin Fort Lauderdale, Denison Yachting and Bannenberg & Rowell, a subtle nod to the car's origins.
A year in the making, this exclusive two-car collection is “the result of a shared passion for craftsmanship, innovation and lifestyle,” said Jennifer Welker Peacock of Denison Yachting. Video : See the unique Aston Martin couple for billionaires who love yachts.
