Da Nang's economy remains stable for 10 months

DNO - On November 3, Da Nang City Statistics said that despite unfavorable weather, the city's key economic sectors in October and the first 10 months of 2025 remained stable, continuing to record positive changes.

Specifically, in the trade and services sector, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in October 2025 are estimated at VND 20,556 billion, down 1.5% over the previous month but up 21.1% over the same period in 2024.

Accumulated in the first 10 months of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at VND 209,547 billion, an increase of 23.6% over the same period in 2024.

Wholesale sales of goods in October 2025 are estimated at VND 26,324 billion, up 5.7% over the previous month. In the first 10 months of 2025, total wholesale sales of goods are estimated at VND 248,735 billion, up 10.4% over the same period in 2024.

Revenue from accommodation and catering services in October 2025 is estimated at VND 4,061 billion, down 0.8% compared to the previous month but up 19.5% over the same period in 2024. In the first 10 months of 2025, the total revenue of the industry is estimated at VND 44,503 billion, up 23.9% over the same period in 2024.

Total revenue of the transportation, warehousing, transportation support, postal and delivery industry in October 2025 is estimated at VND 3,274 billion, up 4.6% over the previous month and up 4% over the same period in 2024. In the first 10 months of 2025, the total revenue of the whole industry reached VND 2,708 billion, up 11.1% over the same period last year.

Total revenue from other services in October 2025 is estimated at VND 4,598 billion, down 2.8% compared to September 2025 but up 34.5% over the same period in 2024. In the first 10 months of 2025, total revenue from other services reached VND 45,890 billion, up 44.6% over the same period in 2024.

Da Nang's industrial production in the first 10 months of 2025 continued to maintain its growth rate, reflecting positive signs of economic recovery. Specifically, the index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 8.1% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, the mining industry increased by 32.9%; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 7.6%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 15.9%; the group of water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 7.8%.

In October, the agricultural, forestry and fishery production situation in the city was generally stable, production activities were maintained according to plan and seasonal schedule.

Despite the impact of prolonged heavy rains in the early stages of the crop and several storms at sea, thanks to timely production direction and proactive prevention of natural disasters and epidemics, productivity and output in basic sectors were basically guaranteed.
