ABC News quoted Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau on October 30 as saying that five more suspects have been arrested in connection with the jewelry theft at the Louvre Museum in Paris on October 19.
The arrests took place on October 29 in the Seine-Saint-Denis area on the outskirts of Paris. However, French authorities have not yet released the names of any suspects.

French police told ABC News that one of the suspects had been under surveillance for several days.
This brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the theft at the Louvre Museum to seven. Two suspects, both men in their 30s and from the Paris suburb of Seine-Saint-Denis, were arrested last weekend, French police confirmed.
Investigators said they matched DNA evidence collected from a helmet left at the crime scene with one of the suspects, leading to the arrest of a suspect.
"A suspect was arrested at 10 p.m. on October 25 (local time) at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris while trying to board a plane to Algeria," police added.
Investigators had previously said the second suspect was arrested as he was preparing to travel to Mali, but prosecutors later said he had no intention of leaving the country.
In addition, one of the suspects has dual French and Malian nationality, and the other has French and Algerian nationality. Both had been on police radar after previous robberies.
