Naval Region 3 helps people overcome consequences after floods

On the morning of October 31, Naval Region 3 organized forces to promptly help people in flooded areas in Da Nang and Hue cities overcome the consequences of rain and floods.

Implementing the direction of the Standing Committee, the Party Committee of the Navy Command. Region 3 organized nearly 200 officers and soldiers divided into 7 working groups, together with the medical force; with 03 fire trucks, 02 ambulances, 02 trucks, 03 rescue boats, 06 medicine bases; 450 kg of disinfectants along with sprayers, cleaning tools such as hoes, shovels, cleaning tools to help people overcome the consequences after rain and floods in the area of 04 wards (Ngu Hanh Son, Hoi An, Dien Ban, Dien Ban Dong, Hoa Xuan), 02 communes (Hoa Tien, Ha Nha) and schools in Da Nang city, Hue city.

Naval Region 3 also coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to focus on cleaning people's houses and household items, schools; spraying mud, collecting garbage, cleaning the environment; organizing military medical forces to examine and provide medicine for people, spraying disinfectant to prevent the risk of epidemics after rains and floods... helping people to quickly stabilize their lives and schools to welcome students back to class.

In addition, Naval Region 3, together with functional forces, searched for missing people in Hoi An Tay ward, Da Nang city.

Mass organizations in the region mobilized youth union members and women's union members of grassroots units to donate and present 365 gifts, 200kg of rice, and 50 barrels of filtered water to families in difficult circumstances in Hoa Tien commune, Da Nang city.

In order to promptly encourage and share the difficulties and losses of the people, the Navy Command has directed the delivery of 2 tons of dry food and 300 million VND to Navy Region 3 to support and help the people of Da Nang and Hue cities overcome the consequences of rain and floods.

Colonel Vu Dinh Hien, Deputy Commander - Chief of Staff of Naval Region 3, said: After many days of heavy rain and floods, a lot of mud and garbage have accumulated, affecting people's lives. With the motto "where the water recedes, clean up there".
