As of 10:00 a.m. on October 31, there were still 79 traffic jams on national highways passing through the Central provinces affected by the storm. Of these, there were 34 traffic jams on routes managed by the Central Government, concentrated in: the West branch of the Ho Chi Minh road through Hue city; the East Truong Son road through Da Nang city and Quang Ngai province; and the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway.

The Ho Chi Minh Highway section through Lo Xo Pass was opened to traffic on October 30, however, due to the continued rain, there is a high risk of landslides and traffic jams. The Vietnam Road Administration recommends that vehicles travel in the direction of National Highway 19 and National Highway 24 to connect the Central Highlands provinces with National Highway 1.

Regarding national highways managed by localities, in Da Nang city there are still 23 traffic jams, of which National Highway 14D, 14G, 14H have many sections flooded over 2m deep. In Quang Ngai province there are still 12 traffic jams, of which National Highway 40B at Km82 has a very large landslide and a drain washed away. In Quang Tri province there are still 8 traffic jams, of which National Highway 15D, National Highway 49C, National Highway 9B, National Highway 9C are deeply flooded.

The Vietnam Road Administration has set up a working group to be present in the provinces and cities in the Central region to direct and guide units to continue mobilizing forces and construction equipment, and to promptly and effectively use spare materials to soon open the route.

Nearly 10,000 steel cages have been provided by the Vietnam Road Administration to Hue City, Da Nang City and Quang Ngai Province to help overcome the consequences of floods and clear the roads as soon as possible. Some congested areas are expected to be cleared on November 1.
