Officers and members attend training conference

Major General Tran Dinh Huong - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Education Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association attended and directed. Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Dinh Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Duong Anh Ngu - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Vu Cong Tien - Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association; representatives of the Propaganda and Education Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Within the framework of the Conference, the officers and members of the Veterans Association were updated on many important contents related to sustainable poverty reduction. The content focused on clarifying the current status of implementing the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction in Lam Dong province; at the same time, providing orientations and solutions to improve the effectiveness of poverty reduction in the period of 2021 - 2025 and until 2030.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and related departments and branches attended the opening ceremony of the Conference.

In addition, the Conference also introduced the process and method of reviewing poor households, near-poor households and households with average living standards in the period of 2022 - 2025; Directive No. 39 of the Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period; contents and measures for inspecting and supervising the implementation of the entrustment of the Bank for Social Policies; Decree No. 27 of the Government stipulating the management mechanism and organization of the implementation of National Target Programs; Decree No. 38 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 27/2022/ND-CP dated April 19, 2022 of the Government.

The conference was organized to improve capacity and foster knowledge on poverty reduction for cadres and members of the War Veterans Association of Lam Dong province; at the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize War Veterans Association members to actively participate in effectively implementing poverty reduction work in the locality.

The reporter of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented the topic at the Conference.

This is also an opportunity for cadres and members of the Veterans Association to exchange experiences, learn good models and good practices, to continue to direct and organize the replication of typical poverty reduction models in localities.
