Over 225 billion VND invested in the section connecting Provincial Road 601 to Ho Chi Minh Highway.

The investment in the project to connect the DT.601 road section to the Ho Chi Minh Highway (La Son - Hoa Lien section) aims to ensure the connection of the local road system with the Ho Chi Minh Highway (La Son - Hoa Lien section).

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the project for the connecting section from DT.601 to the Ho Chi Minh Highway, specifically the La Son - Hoa Lien section (Hai Van ward), with a total investment of over 225 billion VND. The project is scheduled for implementation between 2025 and 2028.

The project involves constructing an access road connecting from Km15+025 of the DT.601 road on the left side, approximately 973 m long (including the highway overpass), crossing the highway at Km54+842; constructing four connecting branches to separate and merge traffic entering and exiting the La Son - Hoa Lien highway, with a total length of approximately 2,031 m; and restoring the DT.601 road to replace the overlapping section from Km15+669 - Km16+00, approximately 331 m long.

Specifically, the access road (from Km0+00 to Km0+625.35) is constructed to the standards of a Class IV mountain road, according to TCVN 4054:2005, with a design speed of V=40km/h.

The remaining access road (Km0+625.35 to Km0+973) and the 4 access/exit ramps to the expressway are branch roads within the multi-level interchange, according to TCVN 5729:2012, with a design speed of V=35km/h.

The restoration of the DT.601 road will be implemented on the scale of the existing DT.601 road, which is a Class V mountain road, according to TCVN 4054:2005, with a design speed of V=30km/h.

The investment in the project to connect the DT.601 road section to the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from La Son to Hoa Lien aims to ensure the connection of the local road system with the Ho Chi Minh Highway section from La Son to Hoa Lien, serving firefighting, rescue, and relief efforts in case of forest fires, floods, accidents, or when the DT.601 road is affected by landslides or localized traffic congestion.

At the same time, upon completion, the project will create a synchronized infrastructure system, gradually completing the regional transportation network according to the plan; and promote the socio -economic development of the locality.
