The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the Project of the section connecting DT.601 to Ho Chi Minh Road, La Son - Hoa Lien section (Hai Van ward) with a total investment of more than 225 billion VND. The project implementation period is 2025-2028.
The project implements the construction of an access road connecting from Km15+025 to DT.601 road on the left side of the route, approximately 973 m long (including the expressway overpass), crossing the expressway at Km54+842 of the expressway; constructing 4 connecting branches to separate the traffic flow into and out of La Son - Hoa Lien expressway, with a total length of approximately 2,031 m; restoring DT.601 route to replace the overlapping section from Km15+669 - Km16+00, approximately 331 m long.
In which, the access road (from Km0+00 to Km0+625.35) is built according to the scale of a grade IV mountainous road, according to TCVN 4054:2005, design speed V=40km/h.
The remaining access road (Km0+625.35 to Km0+973) and 4 branches connecting to/from the expressway are branch roads in the interconnected grade-separated intersection, according to TCVN 5729:2012, design speed V=35km/h.
The DT.601 restoration route is implemented on the same scale as the current DT.601 route, which is a grade V mountainous road, according to TCVN 4054:2005, with a design speed of V=30km/h.
The investment in the Project of the connecting section from DT.601 to Ho Chi Minh road, La Son - Hoa Lien section, aims to ensure the goal of connecting the local road system with Ho Chi Minh road, La Son - Hoa Lien section, serving fire fighting, rescue and relief work when there are forest fires, floods, accidents or when DT.601 is eroded or locally blocked.
At the same time, the project, once completed, will create a synchronous infrastructure system, gradually completing the regional traffic network according to the plan; promoting local socio -economic development.
