Responding to the call for the entire population to exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho and the Healthy movement to establish a career and defend the country , the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run was organized since 1974 and is held annually, becoming a widespread mass sports movement, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life in the capital, athletes from many provinces and cities across the country and athletes from foreign organizations and embassies in Hanoi.

The launching ceremony of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 was held in March 2025 and was simultaneously deployed by districts, towns, universities and colleges from the grassroots level, on schedule and with absolute safety.
