More than 300 Pleiku students participate in Reading Festival

(GLO)- On the morning of April 19, Gia Lai Provincial Library coordinated with Pleiku City Youth Union to organize a Book Reading Festival with the theme "With books, entering the era of national growth".

The festival was attended by leaders of departments, branches and more than 300 students from schools in Pleiku City.

The highlight of the program was the introduction of the book “Vietnamese Aspiration: Why is our country still poor?” and an exchange with inspirational figure Le Van Phuc - founder of the charity group Fly To Sky, Deputy Head of the National Volunteer Network in the Southern region.

On this occasion, students also visited art book stacking models, literature bookcases, medical bookcases, reference books for students... and 5,000 books of various genres on the mobile library car. Students from schools also participated in a quiz game show about books; read books of their choice; made reader cards...

At the program, the Provincial Library presented books to 5 schools; awarded 24 collaborators with good book reviews; and honored 5 groups that effectively organized reading and promotion activities on social networks.

This program is part of a series of activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21) to spread reading culture in the community, arouse the love of books among young people, and contribute to building a learning society.
