More than 300 million VND shared at "Zero VND Market"

BPO - On the morning of April 26, at the Provincial Association Pagoda, the Social Charity Board, Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Binh Phuoc province organized a "Zero Dong Market" to share with people in difficult circumstances. Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Xuan Trang, former member of the Standing Committee, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; representatives of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, monks and nuns of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province and a large number of people in Dong Xoai city.

36 stalls with full of necessities, food, household items, blankets... were carefully prepared. More than 200 households including families in difficult circumstances, the elderly, the sick, ethnic minorities in Dong Xoai city received these goods to reduce some of the difficulties in life.

All goods of the market were jointly supported and shared by monks, Buddhists, and benefactors from pagodas in the province. The total cost of the market was about 300 million VND.

This is an activity to celebrate the 4th United Nations Vesak Festival held in Vietnam; to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

12 elderly people received gifts from the Organizing Committee at the opening ceremony of the 0 VND market.
