More than 400 young players compete at Viettel Cup 2025

On May 31, the 2nd Viettel Cup Community Football Tournament held in 2025 took place at Viettel Sports Company (Thach That, Hanoi).

The second Viettel Cup 2025 has the participation of 20 teams from community football centers and clubs from provinces and cities outside Hanoi . More than 400 young athletes compete in two familiar age groups: U10 (born in 2015) and U11 (born in 2014).

After more than 50 matches full of enthusiasm and passion, the owners of the two championship trophies have been revealed. HVL Youth Football Training Center – Bac Ninh impressed when winning the championship in both the U10 and U11 age groups.

Luu Bao Khanh of ACF Thai Nguyen excellently won the "Top scorer" award in the U10 age group with 5 goals scored. Meanwhile, the award for the best striker in the U11 age group went to Vu Quang Huy of Hung Yen Star Community Football Center, who also scored 5 goals.

Previously, the first Viettel Cup 2025 held in March gathered more than 500 young players from centers and clubs in Hanoi. The first tournament recognized the champions U11 The Light Futsal and U10 team of Ngoc Hung Hanoi Football Center.

With the policy of not recruiting individually, the annual community football playground continues to play the role of a "preliminary selection period" for Viettel Sports Company to search for and discover future talents for The Cong - Viettel club.

“For children who dream of becoming professional football players but have not been discovered by our satellite centers, the Viettel Cup held annually is an opportunity for them to show their passion and talent for football,” said Mr. Nguyen Hai Bien, Deputy Director of Viettel Sports Company.

Viettel Sports Company is expected to organize the final round of recruitment in late June and early July this year. Young talents discovered from satellite centers and 2 Viettel Cup community football tournaments in 2025 will have a week of experience at the headquarters of the army football team.

After passing the tests on physique, physical strength, technique, aptitude, physical health, fighting skills, aptitude and medical examination process, the successful candidates will be signed a youth training contract as well as given the best conditions to realize their dream of becoming a professional football player, contributing to the development of The Cong-Viettel and Vietnamese football in the future.
