Vietwater 2025 is an event organized by Informa Markets Vietnam in collaboration with ministries, government agencies, associations, institutes/schools . This year's event brings together more than 400 domestic and international enterprises from 45 countries and territories, introducing advanced technologies, equipment and solutions in water supply and drainage, water filtration technology, wastewater treatment, and sustainable urban environment.
Many businesses attended the Vietwater 2025 international exhibition on October 22.
The event welcomed over 11,000 trade visitors and industry experts to attend to update trends, expand cooperation and share knowledge. This year, Vietwater also combined with specialized exhibitions including WETV Waste Expo - on recycling technology, waste treatment and environment and Flood Control & Disaster Management Vietnam - flood control and disaster prevention technology, providing a comprehensive view of the water and environment industry.
In addition, the clean water sector needs about VND38,000 billion (equivalent to USD1.6 billion) in investment capital by 2030, mobilized from both the public and private sectors. Green financial instruments, especially green bonds, are considered a sustainable solution to meet long-term capital needs, while promoting environmentally friendly water infrastructure projects.
Notably, the industry’s operating efficiency remains stable with low financial risks: thanks to the regulated price mechanism and natural monopoly characteristics, large-scale water plants in economic centers and industrial zones ensure solid profit margins, with an average debt/EBITDA ratio of around 2.5 times in 2023 – reflecting a reliable level of financial security.
In this context, Vietwater 2025 is not only a trade exhibition, but also a platform connecting knowledge, technology and finance – where businesses, investors and management agencies together shape the future of sustainable development for the Vietnamese water industry.
In parallel with the exhibition, Vietwater 2025 offers a series of diverse seminars and specialized events, spanning three days.
October 22 opened with the opening ceremony and international conference on the water industry Vietwater 2025 with the theme "Sustainable water management in the new era", gathering many domestic and foreign experts to share strategic perspectives and experiences in sustainable water resource management, innovative solutions in water supply and drainage and urban flood prevention, treatment of urban agricultural and industrial wastewater, overcoming drought and water shortage...
October 23 continued with the hot topics of the industry, notably the Workshop "Circular Economy in the Water Industry" taking place in the morning, along with technical discussions revolving around wastewater treatment - reuse and urban flood control. In particular, the WETV workshop in the afternoon with the topic "Effective technology for treating and recycling domestic solid waste suitable for Vietnam's conditions" .
October 24 will focus on the research community and the student community, through a seminar with universities on water quality management and water pollution control. On the same day, the Water Hackathon will create a creative playground where young people, startups and technology organizations come up with innovative ideas and solutions to help solve urgent challenges in the water sector.
