TikTok currently attracts more than 460 million users in Southeast Asia, including 160 million in Indonesia, 70 million in Vietnam and 50 million in Thailand.

According to Mr. Nikhil Rolla, Director of Strategic Customers for Southeast Asia at TikTok, this region is becoming a strategic development center in the global digital transformation process.

Statistics show that two-thirds of users who discover apps on TikTok do so intentionally, and 45% continue to dig deeper, affirming the role of this platform in the consumer decision-making journey.

TikTok is entering a “new era of creativity” powered by AI, combining technology, data and creativity to help brands and app developers grow sustainably, Rolla said.

Experts say Southeast Asia is a “mobile-first” market, where the average user spends more than five hours a day on their phone.

TikTok alone keeps users engaged for 90-100 minutes a day, equivalent to the length of a movie. According to Sensor Tower, the region will record 9.4 billion app downloads and $2.6 billion in revenue in the first half of 2025, with non-game app revenue surpassing gaming for the first time.

At the "TikTok App Summit 2025" event, TikTok signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement for the 2025-2028 period with the Center for Digital Transformation of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aiming to promote the national image and promote the creative economy , and committed to using its platform to promote the national image and promote the creative economy.
