Cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of Japan

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated the significance of this visit by Comrade Ogata Yasuo, demonstrating the friendship, solidarity and close cooperation between the two Parties. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang conveyed the greetings of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and senior leaders of our Party to Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan Shii Kazuo; believing that the Communist Party of Japan will successfully implement the Resolution of the 28th Party Congress, continue to achieve great results, and constantly enhance the prestige and position of the Party.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang discussed strategic orientations in building socialism in Vietnam; emphasized that the theoretical exchange mechanism is a pillar in the relationship between the two Parties; and suggested that the two sides closely coordinate to contribute to enriching the extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia between Vietnam and Japan.

Comrade Ogata Yasuo expressed his joy in visiting Vietnam again; conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Communist Party of Japan Shii Kazuo to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Comrade Ogata Yasuo highly appreciated the cause of building socialism in Vietnam with the motto of taking people as the center; emphasized that the success of Vietnam is also the success of the Communist Party of Japan; believed that the Communist Party of Vietnam will successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress.

* On the same morning, the delegation of our Party led by comrade Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission, held talks with the delegation of the Communist Party of Japan.

The two sides informed each other about the situation of each Party, each country, and each side's foreign policy; shared views on the world and regional situation; and expressed joy that the relationship between the two Parties has been continuously consolidated and developed through many practical activities, contributing to the good development of Vietnam - Japan relations, while actively contributing to the international communist and workers' movement, for peace, stability, and social progress in the region and the world.

The two sides also discussed cooperation directions in the coming time, agreeing to maintain high-level exchanges and contacts; increase information exchange and experience sharing on Party building, theory and practice on building socialism, including promoting the effectiveness of the theoretical exchange mechanism between the two Parties; share information and closely coordinate at international and regional forums.
