Cooperatives and professional livestream room models

In recent times, livestreaming has brought positive results in promoting and consuming products for cooperatives. To turn livestreaming into a digital tool that effectively supports production and business, cooperatives in the province have been boldly investing in building a system of professional and modern livestream rooms.

Livestream sales is one of the effective methods of introducing and consuming products.

The White Horse Cooperative in Pham Hamlet (Duong Thanh Commune, Phu Binh) currently produces horse-based products such as glue, sausages, and ham. On average, the cooperative sells about 300kg of various products to the market each month.

If in the past, the cooperative only sold products in the traditional form through traders, food stores, through acquaintances... recently, it has also experimented with online sales, especially through livestream sessions organized by the Provincial Cooperative Union or other cooperatives in the province.

Mr. Duong Xuan Truong, Director of Pham Hamlet White Horse Cooperative, informed: Participating in livestreams, I realized that this is one of the very effective forms of market access, especially for special products from white horses. Therefore, in early 2025, I decided to invest more than 1 billion VND to build a display area, introduce products and a livestream room, with a total area of ​​80m2. The project is entering the completion stage and is expected to officially come into operation next July.

Not only Pham Hamlet White Horse Cooperative, but many other cooperatives in the province have also built livestream rooms such as: Ly Tinh Tea Cooperative (Phu Binh), Niem Tin Cooperative (Pho Yen City), Phu Luong Agricultural Cooperative...

According to statistics from the Provincial Cooperative Union, there are currently about 45 livestream rooms belonging to cooperatives in the province. Notably, some cooperatives not only build their own livestream rooms, but also provide livestream services to individuals and other cooperatives in need.

For example, Moc Viet Cooperative (Thinh Dan Ward, Thai Nguyen City) has just put into use 15 modern livestream rooms with a system of practice and training rooms and a team of professional staff.

Moc Viet Cooperative's livestream rooms are designed differently to suit each specific item.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga, Director of Moc Viet Cooperative, said: Our goal is to train sales skills via livestream, build sales channels, sell on social networking platforms... for owners of production facilities, cooperatives and individuals in need. The cooperative's staff will guide how to build scripts, design scenes, speak in front of the camera and handle situations that arise when interacting directly with customers. Thereby helping the subjects to be confident when participating in live broadcasts on professional online platforms to advertise and sell their products.

Ms. Ma Thi Bao Trang, a member of ATK Quang Luong Agricultural Service Cooperative (Dinh Hoa), said: Recently, I attended a training course to improve livestream skills on digital platforms organized by the Provincial Cooperative Union at Moc Viet Cooperative. Here, I not only learned theory but also practiced directly, from how to stand in front of the camera, how to choose costumes, lighting, to basic filming techniques and interacting with viewers. After the training course, I was much more confident when appearing on livestream, knowing how to build attractive content and connect with customers naturally.

Accompanying cooperatives in digital transformation, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance has implemented many support activities such as training on channel building, livestream skills, connecting experts and building model samples.

Ms. Vu Thi Thu Huong, Vice President of the Provincial Cooperative Union, shared: Although initially many positive results have been achieved, in reality, the implementation of building livestream rooms at cooperatives still faces certain difficulties. Among them, the lack of human resources with technological skills, lack of initial investment capital and maintaining a stable level of interaction are common obstacles. Therefore, in the coming time, we will allocate resources to support cooperatives in investing in livestream rooms; encourage the development of shared livestream service centers, where cooperatives can rent by the hour or by the session to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
