Mobilizing more than 800 skilled workers to erect poles and pull wires for the Quang Trach - Pho Noi Circuit 3 Project

EVNNPT has mobilized more than 800 skilled engineers and workers to participate in erecting poles and pulling wires for the project with the determination to complete the energization of this key national project in accordance with the Prime Minister 's direction.

According to the report of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the weather is currently in the transitional season, so rain, sunshine, and thunderstorms are erratic, causing difficulties for the construction of the 500 kV transmission line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi.

However, ministries, localities, EVN, and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) are working with contractors to make efforts to overcome disadvantages and are determined to complete projects according to the schedule assigned by the Prime Minister .

Up to now, 1,177/1,177 column foundation positions (100%) have been handed over, and 478/513 anchorage corridors (93%) have been handed over.

Engineers and workers of Power Transmission Company 1 participated in erecting pole position 17 of the 500kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa power line project.

With 35/513 corridors of anchored routes not yet handed over, only Quang Binh and Ninh Binh have completed the handover of corridor routes.

7 provinces that have not completed handing over the route corridor are Ha Tinh (9/113 remaining anchorages), Nghe An (3/87 remaining), Thanh Hoa (1/137 remaining), Nam Dinh (7/54 remaining), Thai Binh (5/46 remaining), Hai Duong (1/28 remaining) and Hung Yen (9/26 remaining).

Regarding the supply of steel columns, contractors have handed over 667/1,177 column positions. To speed up the production and handover of the remaining steel columns, the Investor has had many solutions and resolutely managed and urged contractors.

Specifically, urge contractors to import enough input materials, install and optimize production lines, increase human resources and perform "3 shifts, 4 shifts, 24/7" processing. For contractors that are found to be behind schedule, EVN/EVNNPT and Project Management Boards require contractors to add more capable subcontractors to speed up progress.

Engineers and workers of Power Transmission Company 2 participated in erecting pole position 135 of the 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line project.

The investor has also transferred different types of columns between construction packages to synchronize the supply of columns to completed foundation positions to minimize the foundation waiting for columns and vice versa; speed up the acceptance and payment progress to contractors so that contractors have funds to continue purchasing materials and processing and manufacturing steel columns.

For overloaded and behind schedule contractors, the solution is to add more capable subcontractors to speed up the production and supply of columns. For imported steel column packages, working with manufacturing partners to increase production, speed up the production and delivery before May 30, 2024.

During the construction, 1,162/1,177 foundations have been completed and 15/1,177 are under construction. 398/1,177 column installations have been completed and 222/1,177 column installations are under construction. 10/513 anchorage spans have been pulled and 7/513 anchorage spans are being pulled.

Of which, the 500 kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa Power Line Project has completed the foundation casting of all 180/180 positions. Completed the erection of 141/180 pole positions, and is currently erecting 33/180 pole positions. Completed the pulling of wires for 4/74 anchor intervals, and is currently pulling wires for 5/74 anchor intervals.

At the Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi 500 kV Power Line Project, the foundation casting has been completed at 329/334 locations, and construction is underway at 5/334 locations. The erection of 113/334 pole locations has been completed, and 64/334 pole locations are being erected.

At the Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500 kV Transmission Line Project, 198/200 foundations have been completed and 2/200 are under construction. 28/200 pole positions have been completed and 55/200 pole positions are under construction.

At the Quang Trach - Quynh Luu 500 kV Transmission Line Project, the foundation casting has been completed at 455/463 locations, and 8/463 locations are under construction at the same time. The erection of 116/463 pole locations has been completed, and 70/463 pole locations are being erected. The wire pulling of 6/197 anchor intervals has been completed, and the wire pulling of 2/197 anchor intervals is being carried out.

Engineers and workers of Power Transmission Company 4 participated in erecting pole position 190A of the 500kV Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi power line project.

According to EVN, to complete the project's energization according to the schedule assigned by the Prime Minister, EVN/EVNNPT is vigorously urging construction contractors to focus on human resources and construction machinery to soon complete the construction of pole foundations, pole erection, and wire stretching according to the committed schedule.

Urge contractors supplying equipment and materials (steel poles, conductors, porcelain, accessories, fiber optic cables, etc.) to promptly complete fabrication and transport to the construction site for installation.

The next planned implementation plan of all 4 current projects is to complete foundation casting on May 23, 2024 (in particular, Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa Project completed foundation casting on May 16, 2024); complete pole erection on June 15, 2024; complete insulation, accessory and wiring installation on June 20, 2024 and conduct testing, acceptance and energization from June 20-30, 2024.

To ensure the progress of the 500kV line project, circuit 3, Quang Trach - Pho Noi, to be completed in June 2024, EVNNPT has mobilized skilled human resources from power transmission companies across the country to participate in erecting poles and pulling wires.

In the pole erection and wire pulling packages of the 500kV line project, circuit 3, EVNNPT has mobilized an additional 800 skilled workers from power transmission companies in all three regions to support the acceleration of construction progress, bringing the project to the finish line as committed.

Power Transmission Company 4, the unit managing and operating the Southern region's power transmission grid, has "supported" the project by mobilizing 150 skilled engineers and workers to participate in erecting poles and pulling wires. Power Transmission Company 3, the unit managing and operating the South Central and Central Highlands power transmission grid, has also increased 150 engineers and workers from power transmission lines to participate in erecting poles and pulling wires for the project. Power Transmission Company 2 increased 120 workers. Power Transmission Company 1 increased nearly 400 skilled engineers and workers to participate in erecting poles and pulling wires.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Dung, Deputy Director of Quang Ngai Power Transmission under Power Transmission Company 2, said that immediately after receiving the request from EVNNPT, the National Power Transmission Company 2 increased about 120 engineers and skilled workers, established 5 construction teams to erect poles and pull wires to support construction contractors.

Mr. Huynh Quang Thinh, Head of Technical Department, Power Transmission Company 3 said, for each assigned pole erection location, in favorable weather conditions, we will carry out construction from 15 to 20 days to complete a pole location with the pole erection volume of about 100 tons. Each engineer and worker participating in the Project has the highest determination to complete the pole erection work synchronously with other units.

Referring to the mobilization of additional forces and increased support for construction contractors to speed up the progress of erecting poles and pulling wires, Mr. Truong Huu Thanh, Deputy General Director of EVNNPT, said that EVNNPT has mobilized about 800 technical workers who know how to climb high and erect poles. Along with that, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, EVNNPT has contacted other units such as Electricity Corporations, Oil and Gas Power Corporation, Viettel Group and VNPT Group to be ready to mobilize a very large force to participate in supporting the construction of pole erection and wire pulling packages.
