Nearly 170,000 more customers in the Central region have their power restored after the flood.

The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that as of 7:00 a.m. on October 31, 2025, nearly 310,000 EVNCPC customers were still without power in four central provinces and cities: Hue, Da Nang, Quang Tri, and Quang Ngai.

Compared to the same time on the morning of October 30, nearly 170,000 customers had their power restored, showing great efforts by power units in complex flood conditions.

On the 110kV grid, there is currently a 110kV Dak Mil 4 - Phuoc Son line and a double-circuit customer line Tra My - Song Tranh 2 switching station having problems and are temporarily isolated to ensure safety.

The two 110kV Phuoc Son and Nam Tra My transformer stations have not been able to resume operations due to the isolated terrain and prolonged heavy rain. Da Nang Electricity Company is urgently checking the power grid, planning to re-supply the 110kV Phuoc Son station load via the 22kV 471/TTG Hiep Duc line and the 110kV Nam Tra My station load via the Nuoc Xa intermediate line.

On the medium voltage grid, EVNCPC has recorded 577 incidents and layoffs due to flooding; of which, 290 have been restored. Currently, there are 309,404 customers without power, accounting for 6.26% of EVNCPC's total customers, mainly concentrated in 4 Power Companies of Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai and Quang Tri, corresponding to 13.01% of the customers of these 4 units.

The total number of power outage distribution transformer stations is 2,720, accounting for 4.73% of the total EVNCPC (10.68% of the total number of stations of the 4 Power Companies mentioned above). The estimated unrecovered capacity is about 175.82 MW, equivalent to 4.82% of the maximum capacity of the total EVNCPC and 8.15% of the maximum capacity of the 4 affected companies.

Da Nang is the most seriously affected area with 225,081 customers and 2,031 distribution transformer stations losing power, with an estimated capacity loss of 121.2 MW (13.33%).

Areas still experiencing interruptions in 60 communes and wards: An Hai, Ngu Hanh Son, Hoa Tien, Hoa Xuan, Cam Le, Hoa Vang, Ba Na, Lien Chieu, Ban Thach, Quang Phu, Hoi An Tay, Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Dien Ban Dong, Go Noi, Thu Bon, Nam Phuoc, Duy Nghia, Duy Xuyen, Thang Dien, Thang An, Thang Binh, Thang Truong, Thuong Duc, Vu Gia, Dai Loc, Ha Nha, Ben Hien, Phu Thuan, Dien Ban Tay, Dien Ban Bac, Hiep Duc, Kham Duc, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Thanh, Viet An, Nui Thanh, Dien Ban, An Thang, Dong Giang, A Vuong, Tay Giang, Hung Son, Que Phuoc, Nong Son, Xuan Phu, Que Son, Que Son Trung, Tra Leng, Tra My, Tra Giap, Tra Tan, Tra Doc, Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Van, Tra Linh, Thanh My, Nam Giang.

In Hue city, there are currently 74,384 customers and 522 distribution transformer stations without electricity, with an estimated loss of 52 MW. The affected areas are mainly located in 25 communes and wards of Hue city: Phu Xuan, Huong An, Kim Long, Hoa Chau, An Cuu, Vy Da, Thuy Xuan, Thuan Hoa, Phong Thai, Phong Dien, Phong Dinh, Thanh Thuy, Loc An, Phong Quang, Dan Dien, Quang Dien, Thuan An, Phu Ho, My Thuong, Duong No, Kim Tra, Huong Tra, Nam Dong.

In Quang Tri province, there are still 7,312 customers and 53 distribution transformer stations without electricity, with an estimated loss of 1.6 MW, mainly in parts of the communes and wards of Trieu Phong, Quang Trach, Trung Thuan and Ba Don.

In Quang Ngai province, there are currently 2,627 customers, 84 distribution transformer stations, estimated to have lost 1.02 MW of capacity. Areas still without power include Son Tay Thuong, Minh Long, Tay Tra, Mang But and part of Dak Plo commune.

EVNCPC has directed its affiliated power companies to mobilize maximum human resources and equipment, closely coordinate with local authorities to ensure electrical safety, and promptly restore power supply to customers as soon as possible, especially important loads such as hospitals, administrative agencies and isolated residential areas.
