Mobilizing socialized capital to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

(GLO)- In addition to the State's support resources, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in An Khe town (Gia Lai province) has mobilized organizations, individuals, and businesses to contribute funds to implement the program.

Socialized capital sources have created conditions for poor households to soon stabilize their lives and helped localities complete their set goals.

Since the beginning of the year, Cuu An commune has repaired 5 houses and built 6 houses for poor and near-poor households with a total cost of over 1.25 billion VND. Of which, the State supported 530 million VND; businesses and people supported 86 million VND; families contributed nearly 635 million VND and the military supported 572 working days.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhi (An Dien Bac village, Cuu An commune) said: Due to difficult economic conditions, my family has to live in a dilapidated house. In early March, the commune supported land for the foundation, Bac Tay Nguyen Petroleum One Member Co., Ltd. supported 60 million VND, Regiment 1 (Division 2) supported labor and 1,000 bricks, my wife and I borrowed an additional 10 million VND to build a solid house.

Mr. Tran Hoang Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Cuu An Commune - said: "The Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses of the commune has mobilized units, enterprises, business households and people to support funds, materials and working days to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Thanks to the timely mobilization of socialized capital sources, up to now, the commune has completed the set plan".

In Ngo May ward, officials, people and businesses have contributed tens of millions of VND, hundreds of working days and many materials to help policy families, poor households and near-poor households repair and build houses. In the spirit of mutual love, on May 12, Ms. Le Thi Tam's family (group 4) donated 50 million VND to Ngo May ward.

“I find the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses very humane and practical. Therefore, I have mobilized my children and grandchildren to contribute a little money to share some of the difficulties with poor and near-poor households so that they can have a stable home, have more motivation to overcome the difficult period, and soon stabilize their lives,” Ms. Tam shared.

Mr. Tran Quang Kien - Director of An Khe Sugar Factory informed: "Over the years, the Factory has regularly joined hands and contributed to the locality to carry out social security activities. Responding to the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Factory supported the town with 120 million VND, contributing to the locality to repair and build houses for poor households, so that no one is left behind".

In order to effectively mobilize socialized capital sources, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in An Khe town has issued an open letter calling for support from organizations and individuals. Since the letter was issued, the Steering Committee has received more than 2 billion VND from organizations, individuals and businesses.

Mr. Huynh Minh Thien - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the town - affirmed: "The contributions of companies, factories and people are not only financial support, helping the town complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, but also demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, concern and sharing of responsibility of the whole society for policy families, poor households, near-poor households with housing difficulties, helping them to soon settle down and stabilize their lives".
