Up to now, the locality has completed the draft compensation, support and resettlement plan (inventory data according to temporary boundaries) and publicized the draft, collecting public opinions. At the same time, Go Dau district also directed investors and construction units to urgently implement resettlement projects in the district to prepare new housing for households whose land was recovered to serve the site clearance of key projects in the district in general, especially the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project.
At the Go Dau town resettlement project, Dong Thuan Ha Company Limited is currently constructing the project items. According to the Go Dau District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Go Dau town resettlement project is being built with a total investment of 318.9 billion VND from the province's targeted support capital and the district budget.
The project has a total land use area of over 97,200 m2, with 480 lots, each lot is about 100 m2, serving the resettlement with complete infrastructure investment. The project includes many items: leveling the ground, placing stakes to divide the lots; traffic routes; sidewalks, trees, lighting; underground power and telecommunication cable systems; water supply and drainage; parks, squares, internal roads and yards; parking lots, 1000 KVA transformer stations, medium and low voltage lines and complete lighting systems... The routes in the resettlement area are connected to the existing and planned traffic routes around the area.
Construction period is 2 years, from December 6, 2023 to expected completion date November 24, 2025.
Regarding progress, as of May 9, 2025, the drilling of cement piles to treat weak soil has been completed; the following items are being constructed: pumping sand into the ground, filling with level 2 soil and red gravel for traffic roads; drainage system; installing panel retaining walls. The implementation value is about 142 billion VND, estimated at 56% of the contract value (contract value 252 billion VND). The remaining items will continue to be implemented from now until November 24, 2025 for acceptance and putting the project into use.
Mr. Nguyen Chinh Huy (representative of the construction unit Dong Thuan Ha Company Limited) said: "The infrastructure items in the resettlement project of Go Dau town are being accelerated by the unit to hand over to the investor on time.
Currently, Tay Ninh is entering the rainy season, the weather is not favorable for construction, however, we try to overcome the difficulties, taking advantage of any time we can to work urgently, even at night. To meet the schedule, the company has arranged enough machinery, equipment, workers and arranged overtime at the construction site. According to the progress of the project, the handover will be at the end of 2025, however, the company will strive to exceed the schedule by about 1 month.
Some resettlement lots serving the site clearance work of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project will be given priority to be completed first to meet the progress requirements of the expressway project.
In addition to implementing the construction of the resettlement area in Go Dau town, Go Dau district also built another resettlement area in Hamlet 6, Bau Don commune with 270 plots of land that Saigon VRG Investment Joint Stock Company agreed to hand over to the district. On April 29, 2025, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1007/QD-UBND on the recovery of over 57,000 m2 under the use rights of Saigon VRG Investment Joint Stock Company according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 8 of the 2024 Land Law and Decision No. 1008/QD-UBND on the handover of over 57,000 m2 to Go Dau District People's Committee for management and investment in infrastructure of the resettlement area.
Go Dau District has also submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Construction regarding the policy of arranging investment capital to implement resettlement infrastructure in Hamlet 6, Bau Don Commune, managed by Saigon VRG Investment Joint Stock Company, assigned to Go Dau District People's Committee to arrange resettlement land for households eligible for resettlement in component project 4: compensation, support, and resettlement of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway project.
