Luong Son District: Striving to have 5 more communes achieve advanced and exemplary new rural status

By early 2025, Luong Son district maintained the achievement of 10/10 communes meeting new rural standards (NTM), of which 2 communes achieved advanced and model NTM. This year, the district aims to raise the number of communes to 5 advanced standards, including 2 more model communes, creating a breakthrough in the final year of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period.

From 2021 to present, Luong Son has deployed 77 essential infrastructure projects with a total capital of over 125 billion VND. The system of village cultural houses, roads, lighting, medical - educational - environmental works has been invested synchronously, of which 71 works have been completed and put into use. In addition, the OCOP program continues to make its mark with 16 products achieving 3 stars or more, focusing on local specialties such as tapioca starch, honey, spring rolls - Suoi Soi sour meat, and various medicinal herbs. The whole district has recognized 32 model residential areas and 56 model gardens - creating highlights in terms of landscape and household economic development.

To achieve the goal of an advanced NTM district, Luong Son focuses on improving the quality of planning, environment, security - order, health -education criteria, and at the same time reviewing the satisfaction level of people in each commune.
