Comrade Bui Van Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Man Duc town, said: As the central area of the district, the town has focused on attracting investment, developing types of trade and services, and shifting the economic structure in a positive direction. Urban planning and development work is focused on with a number of residential area (KDC) and housing projects being implemented such as: Muong Khen Heritage urban area project with a total investment of about 200 billion VND, scale of 14.7 hectares in the center of Man Duc town; the new KDC project in Man Duc town with a scale of 9.8 hectares, planned to be synchronously connected with the infrastructure in the area. In addition, tourism, trade, and industry development activities bring about effective development of urban economy and services. Phong Phu commune continues to plan and invest in infrastructure, attracting industrial projects to create a shift in the urban population structure.
In recent years, Tan Lac district has focused on planning, planning management, mobilizing resources to invest in urban infrastructure development and achieved positive initial results. According to the urban development orientation of the district in the period of 2026 - 2030, Man Duc town strives to achieve urban type IV status; Phong Phu commune completes the criteria for urban type V, becoming a town of the district in the period of 2021 - 2025. The District People's Committee closely coordinates with relevant departments, branches and units to implement the district's regional planning, zoning planning, detailed planning to ensure quality, with a long-term vision to submit to competent authorities for approval. On that basis, focus on mobilizing resources to develop transport infrastructure, attract investors to implement urban, commercial, industrial service projects, and change occupations for workers to improve the quality of life of urban residents.
In addition, the district prioritizes resources for investment in urban beautification and clean water infrastructure. Accelerate the implementation of the Ngoi Hoa - National Highway 6 project, coordinate with agencies and units to organize site clearance, create conditions for construction units to renovate and upgrade provincial roads 440 and 436. Direct the acceleration of investment in infrastructure for the new residential area of Man Duc town, the construction progress of Muong Khen residential area and Dong Quat residential area. The district has established a working group to clear the land for projects in Suoi Hoa commune to support and accelerate the clearance of land for projects in the Hoa Binh Lake national tourist area. Implement projects and plans for tourism development to attract investment funding for tourism development. Along with that, the district promotes administrative reform, supports investment projects, develops economic sectors, develops two industrial clusters Dong Lai - Thanh Hoi and Phong Phu industrial clusters, contributing significantly to the growth and economic restructuring of the district, creating jobs and increasing income for people.
