In addition, people also learn about fire prevention and fighting means and equipment; are instructed and practiced on how to use fire extinguishers to extinguish fires; and are instructed on how to safely escape when a fire or explosion occurs... In addition to concentrated propaganda sessions, the forces also pay more attention to propaganda measures through the application of information technology, popular social networking platforms today such as: Facebook, Zalo, YouTube... to help people easily grasp and implement.

With the advice of the Phuoc Hai Ward Police (Nha Trang City), in early 2024, Ms. Truong Thi Niem - Head of Group 4 Phuoc Loc, Phuoc Hai Ward created a zalo group on the phone with members being all households in the residential group. From this zalo group, any propaganda information related to fire prevention and fighting work transferred by the ward police was sent by her to the group for people in the group to grasp and implement. Thanks to that, people's awareness of fire prevention and fighting work has been increasingly improved. In particular, when the residential group mobilized each family to equip at least one fire extinguisher, the households in the group actively responded. For households in difficult circumstances who could not afford to buy, the residential group coordinated with the ward police to mobilize social support. Up to now, 100% of households in the group have fire extinguishers for fire prevention and fighting work. According to Phuoc Hai Ward Police, the propaganda through the zalo group of the residential group in the past time has shown very positive results. Therefore, in the coming time, the Ward Police will continue to promote information dissemination for people to grasp, thereby further improving the effectiveness of fire prevention and fighting work from residential areas.
Improve the quality of grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams
In order for the movement of the entire population participating in fire prevention and fighting to develop strongly, the construction of grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams as the core of the movement has always been of interest to local authorities and police at all levels. As an area bordering Nha Trang City, Dien An Commune (Dien Khanh District) is undergoing rapid urbanization and has many potential risks of fire and explosion incidents. With the motto of taking prevention as the main focus, Dien An Commune has focused on building grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams in hamlets. Up to now, 7/7 hamlets of the commune have grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams. Participating in the spirit of volunteerism and initiative, members of grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams are mostly young, healthy people with knowledge and skills in fire prevention and fighting. They are the active and core nuclei in launching movements in residential areas. In the past time, the grassroots fire prevention and fighting teams of the commune have done a good job of grasping the situation, actively coordinating and supporting the commune police in plans and solutions to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety in the area. “This is an extended arm that effectively supports the regular police in propaganda work on fire prevention and fighting, as well as participating in fire fighting and rescue when a fire occurs. In addition, these forces also actively participate in ensuring security and order in the commune,” said Captain Vo Mai Thao - Head of Dien An Commune Police.

In order to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in fire prevention and fighting, the provincial police force has focused on building many effective models of people participating in fire prevention and fighting such as: "My house has a fire extinguisher", "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Group", "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Market", "Mobile Fire Fighting Vehicle"... Through these models, a large number of people have been gathered and mobilized to participate, promoting the sense of responsibility and initiative of the people in fire prevention and fighting work from early on, from afar, from the grassroots, contributing to the development of the movement of People participating in fire prevention and fighting in residential areas.
With the active participation of the entire political system, agencies, units, and enterprises, the movement of the entire population participating in fire prevention and fighting in the province has had positive changes. In particular, the awareness of compliance with the law on fire prevention and fighting of all classes of people has been significantly improved. According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quang Dang - Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, Provincial Police, promoting the movement of the entire population participating in fire prevention and fighting has made a large number of people, units, and enterprises more aware of fire prevention and fighting. In building models on fire prevention and fighting safety, people have actively responded and brought about clear results. Therefore, many fires have occurred in the area and have been promptly handled by the people, preventing fires from spreading and becoming larger.
