Tien Yen District: Promoting the role of grassroots Party cells

Tien Yen district has been focusing on implementing practical solutions to improve the quality and promote the role of Party cells and Party members in residential areas, villages and hamlets.

Tien Yen district currently has 29 grassroots party cells and committees, 190 party cells directly under the grassroots party committees with over 3,000 party members. Recognizing the core role of each party member and each party cell in contributing significantly to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the party organization, party committees and authorities at all levels from district to grassroots have always focused on leading, directing and organizing the implementation of many solutions to consolidate, innovate and improve the quality of party cell activities, improve the effectiveness and efficiency in organizing the implementation of Party Resolutions and promoting the role of party members.

In early 2024, Dong Dam village (Dong Ngu commune, Tien Yen district) had a policy to build an inter-village road with a length of 1,800m. To implement and hand over the clean land for construction, 38 people on both sides of the road had to donate land. It seemed that the village had a large number of ethnic minorities, so donating the road was difficult. However, the Dong Dam village Party Cell directed and coordinated with departments, organizations, and mobilized people to donate 2,975m2 of land and many assets on the land.

Ms. Tran Thi Sen, Secretary of the Dong Dam village Party Cell (Dong Ngu commune) said: To promote our role, my family took the lead in donating 100 square meters ^. before. To propagate and mobilize people to donate land, the Party cell gathered the Party cell to develop a plan, discuss, agree and hold a village meeting to ask for people's opinions, and at the same time established a campaign team to go to each household to propagate, mobilize, sign a commitment to donate land and donate assets on the land. The people in the village agreed and responded with joy and excitement when the village completed a spacious, airy, bright, green, clean and beautiful road.

Pac Sui village (Yen Than commune, Tien Yen district) has 39 households with 419 people, including 11 party members. As a village with a large area of hilly forest land, soil suitable for forestry development, to increase sustainable income for the people, Pac Sui village Party Cell (Yen Than commune, Tien Yen district) has mobilized people to plant large timber trees and native trees. The Party Cell has assigned specific tasks to each party member in charge of each area to mobilize people to achieve the set goals. At the same time, it directed each party member to register to plant 1-2 hectares of large timber trees.

Promoting their pioneering and exemplary role, many party members have planted more than the registered area for the masses to follow. A typical example is the family of party member Ly A Nhi, Pac Sui village, who has planted more than 3 hectares of giổi trees mixed with cinnamon since 2022. “Previously, my family planted acacia. With the support of the village Party Cell, we saw the benefits of large timber trees, so my family also switched to planting giổi and lim trees, and at the same time developed chicken farming under the forest canopy, bringing in an income of nearly 200 million VND/year,” Nhi shared.

Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Pac Sui Chiu Sang Van Village said: At first, there were many difficulties in propagating the planting of large timber trees mixed with cinnamon because the people did not believe it. Later, the Party members took the lead in planting first, and now the whole village has planted over 34 hectares of giổi and lim trees mixed with cinnamon. Besides, we have mobilized people to raise chickens and goats under the canopy of large timber trees, so many families have risen up to escape poverty sustainably.

Thanks to the close leadership and direction of the Party cell, Pac Sui village has developed comprehensively, the people's lives are getting better and better, the whole village has no poor households. The spirit of solidarity, mutual love and support in the village is maintained.

It can be said that in recent years, many Party cells in Tien Yen District Party Committee have maintained and promoted their leadership and direction roles, effectively carried out local tasks, and are worthy of being the political core at the grassroots level, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong Tien Yen District Party Committee.
