Speed ​​up the progress of the project to repair the roadbed and surface on National Highway 49

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of October 24, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh chaired a working session with relevant departments, branches and sectors to speed up the progress of the project to repair the roadbed, surface and works on National Highway 49.

The project to repair the roadbed, surface, and structures on the section from Km89+754 to Km101+300/QL.49 was approved by the Vietnam Road Administration with a total investment of over 99 billion VND; the project implementation period was 2023-2024 according to the allocated capital plan, and has been adjusted to 2023-2025.

According to the report of the investor representative - Project Management Board 4, up to now, the construction area is 3.49km/11.26km; the remaining 7.77km is stuck in site clearance. Currently, the contractor is implementing 11 construction points including excavation, culvert construction, retaining wall construction, slope reinforcement construction, and structural casting.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh noted that the project's construction progress is currently slow due to numerous difficulties related to land acquisition. Therefore, relevant units and localities need to focus on accelerating this work. They must urgently complete the surveying, inventory, and preparation of compensation and support documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations; and apply compensation rates that are public, transparent, and realistic, fostering public consensus.

At the same time, continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to ensure that the community understands the policies and benefits of the project, and hands over the land on time; promptly identify and resolve any arising problems, preventing prolonged delays.

Land clearance is a key task that needs to be implemented decisively, synchronously, openly, and transparently, contributing to the early completion of the road, meeting the requirements of transportation infrastructure development and serving the people.

Regarding some issues arising from power poles and forest land during construction, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh requested that relevant units and the construction unit coordinate more closely to accelerate progress.
