Kien Thuy District Party Committee deploys key tasks for May 2025: Focus on building model new rural areas

In April, the leadership and direction of Kien Thuy District Party Committee continued to be implemented synchronously and comprehensively. The district held the 21st Executive Committee Meeting to give opinions on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first quarter and supplement key tasks in the second quarter of 2025. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee reviewed and gave opinions on many important contents such as: plans to arrange commune-level administrative units; planning to build commune centers; handling problems in paying off basic construction debts. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee also focused on directing and giving opinions on the progress of implementing key projects, model new rural construction works; site clearance for the Duong Kinh - Kien Thuy New Urban Area project; and preparations for the Ceremony to receive the National Special Monument Ranking Certificate for the relic cluster related to the Mac Dynasty.

The work of building the Party, the government and mobilizing the people continued to be focused on. The district focused on propagating major events such as: 50 years of Liberation of the South, 70 years of Liberation of Hai Phong, the Red Flamboyant Festival; guiding the assessment and classification of principals and vice principals of schools; admitting new party members on May 19 and completing the dossier for considering awarding the Party badge to 140 party members. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee inspected and supervised 7 Party organizations; the Inspection Committee of the District Party Committee supervised the financial work and asset declaration at a number of units. The District People's Council organized a thematic meeting on the policy of merging Hai Phong - Hai Duong and rearranging commune-level administrative units. In socio -economic development, agricultural production achieved the plan with 3,450.2 hectares of spring rice; stable livestock farming, aquatic products in April reached 2,683 tons. Industrial production value was more than 81.8 billion VND; retail sales of goods reached 712.5 billion VND; Accommodation and food services nearly 80 billion VND...

In the first 4 months of the year, the district's budget revenue reached more than 233 billion VND (54.4% of the estimate); budget expenditure was 277 billion VND. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 12.7%, of which capital for new rural construction reached 9.24%. The district is constructing 120/124 traffic routes and 12/22 civil works in 7 communes building new rural models. In the field of construction - planning, the district completed investment procedures and issued 18 construction permits. Environmental work and land management were effectively implemented, with 158 land use right certificates issued, abandoned land reviewed, and waste classified at source. Education received attention with a survey of the quality of 9th grade students and the implementation of the International Integration Project. Cultural and sports activities were vibrant, focusing on promoting the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation, the Red Flamboyant Festival and receiving the National Special Monument. Social security work is ensured, policies are paid to nearly 12,000 people with more than 18.5 billion VND; temporary and dilapidated houses for near-poor households are eliminated. National defense and security are stable; military service registration for more than 1,100 citizens is completed, and training of militia and reserve soldiers is ensured.

Entering May, Kien Thuy District Party Committee identified key tasks including: propaganda, orienting public opinion on organizational restructuring; implementing the Project to establish a Party organization after restructuring; evaluating school management staff, admitting Party members and awarding Party badges on May 19. Regarding socio-economics, the district focuses on boosting budget collection, disbursing public investment, closely monitoring agricultural production, and preventing natural disasters. Striving to complete 100% of traffic routes in 7 communes building new-style rural areas on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day. The district also focuses on inspecting land inventory and land use planning until 2030; implementing the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project; strengthening waste classification and treatment, editing archived documents, and applying IT in management. Cultural and educational activities continue to be promoted with the District Singing, Dancing and Music Festival and the year-end student quality survey. With a determined and proactive spirit, the District Party Committee is determined to successfully complete the May targets, creating momentum for the successful implementation of the 2025 goals./.
