The away match at Maritimo Stadium of Lank FC in the 19th round of the Portuguese national championship was Huynh Nhu's last match. After that, she temporarily said goodbye to the team for nearly a month to attend the SEA Games in Cambodia.
This was the match where Huynh Nhu was placed on the bench. In the 64th minute, Huynh Nhu came on to replace Maria and immediately helped Lank's play improve.
At this point, Lank FC was trailing 0-1 and playing with one more player. In the 72nd minute, in an attacking situation, Lara Costa fouled Baleia in the penalty area and Lank FC was awarded a penalty.
Malu was chosen to take the free kick. The number 9 striker executed a powerful free kick, causing the opposing goalkeeper to dive in the right direction but was unable to block it. After the goal, Huynh Nhu and Malu recreated the familiar Siuuu celebration of star Ronaldo.
In the 81st minute, Erica Costa fired a powerful left-footed shot to bring home the second goal. However, just 4 minutes later, Marau was fouled in the penalty area, giving Lank FC their second penalty. Malu was again tasked with taking the free kick and did not miss the opportunity to beat the opposing goalkeeper, sealing a 2-2 draw.
In about 25 minutes on the field, although Huynh Nhu did not score any goals, she contributed to improving Lank FC's game, helping the team to a valuable draw. This was Nhu's 18th match in the Portuguese women's national championship alone.
After this match, Huynh Nhu returned to Vietnam. She practiced with an assistant in Ho Chi Minh City while waiting for the Vietnamese team to return from Japan. On April 30, Huynh Nhu and her teammates moved to Cambodia with the goal of defending the gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games.
