According to Athletic, Messi is likely to join Inter Miami in the summer transfer window. Inter Miami also set the time for Messi's debut with fans in the match against Cruz Azul on July 21 after negotiations with Barcelona showed no positive signs.
Journalist Guillem Balague, who wrote an autobiography about Messi, also posted this confirmation on his personal page: "Messi has decided. His destination is Inter Miami."
Inter Miami's negotiations with Messi's father, Jorge Messi, are said to have taken many positive steps. In particular, representatives of MLS and the two league partners, Apple and Adidas, also came forward to convince the Argentine superstar.

Accordingly, the two partners of MLS are willing to share a portion of the revenue from the copyright of MLS Season Pass from Apple, Adidas has had a partnership with Messi since 2006 and had a lifetime contract to represent this sports company in 2017. This sports company is also willing to share a portion of the profits from the tournament with the Argentine superstar.
Not just about salary and revenue, Messi's deal with Inter Miami is said to include an option to buy a percentage of an MLS team when his time in the US ends.
The deal would be similar to David Beckham's 2007 deal (a clause in his contract with LA Galaxy to own a Major League Soccer club at a 25% discount).
Previously, Sport reported that Inter Miami could pay Messi 50 million euros per season. In addition, Messi will likely be loaned to Barcelona for 6 to 18 months as Barca had previously planned to cooperate with Inter Miami to recruit Messi.
Besides Inter Miami and Barcelona, Al-Hilal also had an offer with a salary of 500 million euros/season but was asked by Messi to postpone the transfer until 2024.
