This is a memorable gold medal in women's team kata for the Vietnamese karate team. After 10 years, the team won the gold medal in kata again after the women's team gold medal in 2015. At that time, the gold medal winning team included Nguyen Hoang Ngan, Do Thi Thu Ha, and Nguyen Thi Hang.

Now, Do Thi Thu Ha and her students have brought home the gold medal in their new role as head coach. This former national player will start leading the team from 2024 after head coach Nguyen Hoang Ngan left.

In addition to 2 gold medals, the Vietnamese karate team also won a bronze medal in the individual kata event with martial artist Nguyen Ngoc Tram.

At the 2024 Asian Karate Championship, the Vietnamese karate team won 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. The three gold medals then belonged to Hoang Thi My Tam (55kg women), Nguyen Thi Ngoan (over 68kg women) and her female kumite teammates (Dinh Thi Huong, Hoang Thi My Tam, Nguyen Thi Ngoan, Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly).
