By 10:00 a.m. on June 2, the province's candidates had completed the Math exam after 120 minutes of testing. This is the third subject of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. At the examination councils, the work of ensuring security and order, traffic safety, health, electricity, fire prevention and fighting, etc. continued to be carried out seriously and effectively.
Chairwoman of Dong Dau High School Examination Council (Yen Lac) Phan Thi Hang Hai said: “Dong Dau High School Examination Council has 531 candidates taking the exam. Before that, Dong Dau High School had fully prepared facilities at the exam site; 29 exam rooms with enough fans, drinking water... to serve the candidates. In the morning, the weather is cool so the candidates are not tired, do not need to use the backup exam room, medical room...
During the 3 exam sessions, 100% of the officers, supervisors, and employees of the Examination Council performed their assigned tasks well; candidates in the exam rooms were comfortable and confident. Security, order, and traffic safety were strictly implemented... During all 3 exam sessions, no candidates were late, no supervisors, and no candidates violated exam regulations. All activities took place according to procedures."
After 120 minutes, the candidates finished the exam with a relaxed mood; many candidates were excited because this year's exam was within their ability. Candidate Nguyen Phuong Nga, a student at Lap Thach Secondary School, taking the exam at Ngo Gia Tu High School (Lap Thach) said: "In the previous two exams, I did well in Literature and English, so I felt comfortable and confident. For Math, the exam had practical knowledge and advanced knowledge to differentiate students; the most difficult part was geometry, but I had reviewed carefully, so I was sure of about 80% of the total score. Doing well in the 3 exams helped me feel more confident to prepare for the specialized subject exam in the upcoming entrance exam to grade 10 at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted (Phu Tho)".
Many math teachers commented that the math exam for the 10th grade high school entrance exam in 2025-2026 closely followed the sample exam, was quite good, suitable for students' ability and had good differentiation. Meritorious teacher Ta Minh Hieu, a teacher at Yen Lac Secondary School, said: "This year's exam was suitable for students' ability; had a new feature of applying a lot to real life; had the ability to classify students in point C of the geometry question and question 6 on inequalities. Probability math is a new content introduced in a gentle way, suitable for students.
In general, the exam questions are consistent with the 2018 General Education Program and the spirit of educational innovation. Students with average academic performance can achieve 5-6 points; students with a solid grasp of knowledge will achieve 7 points or more.
On the parents' side, after the third exam session, many parents breathed a sigh of relief when they learned that their children did well on the exam. Excited after her children finished the three exams, Ms. Le Thi Thoa, parent of candidate Phung Tuan Tai, who took the exam at Kim Ngoc High School (Vinh Yen) said: "Taking my child to the exam, I was as nervous as if I was taking the exam myself. Sitting outside waiting for my child, I was anxious, just hoping that he would do well on the exam. After three exams, my child said he could do about 70% of the questions, which made me happier and more confident."
According to the Department of Education and Training, in the Math exam for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province had 18,538 candidates participating in the exam; 132 candidates were absent; all activities took place normally, in accordance with regulations; no candidates or exam invigilators violated exam regulations.
Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the 2025-2026 school year high school entrance exam, Nguyen Phu Son, said: "This year's high school entrance exam took place in hot weather conditions, the noon was extremely hot, but the candidates still maintained their exam mentality and tried hard to do the exam.
The preparation work of the examination sites was carried out carefully and seriously; the Examination Councils performed all tasks well with the highest sense of responsibility. The Provincial Steering Committee for the High School Entrance Examination for the 2025-2026 school year inspected and highly appreciated the preparation work as well as the organization of the examination of the Examination Councils and the examination sites.
The coordination of police, medical , electricity forces, etc. was carried out effectively, thus ensuring security and order, traffic safety, exam security, food safety, etc. During all three exam sessions, all activities at the exam councils took place safely, seriously, objectively, and in accordance with regulations.
Tomorrow morning, June 3, more than 1,400 candidates of the province continue to take the specialized subject exam at the Vinh Phuc Specialized High School Examination Council.
According to the plan, the exam marking is expected to take place from June 3 to 11. The marking method is on a 10-point scale, up to two decimal places. The exam scores are expected to be announced at 8:00 a.m. on June 12. Admissions will be reviewed and the enrollment process will be completed on July 2.
