The male passenger flew from Tampa to Cleveland, USA, but was taken to Puerto Rico.
Frontier Airlines representative Jennifer de la Cruz confirmed that passenger Logan Lose, 16, flew from Tampa to Cleveland, USA, in late December 2023 but landed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. "Frontier has sincerely apologized for this error," Cruz said. According to the airline representative, the flights to Cleveland and Puerto Rico departed from the same boarding gate. The flight to Puerto Rico took off first and Logan boarded by mistake.

Ryan Lose, Logan's father, said his son had a fear of flying and it was his first time flying alone. When Logan arrived at the gate, he showed his ticket and asked the airline staff to make sure he was on the right flight. But the staff just glanced at him and nodded.
"If they scan his boarding pass, they'll find out he's on the wrong flight," the father said. By 8:30 p.m., Logan was already on the plane and called his parents. Ryan realized he had boarded too early. Logan's brother checked the flight status online and found that another flight to Puerto Rico was about to depart from the same gate as Logan's.
Ryan immediately called his son to warn him, but it was too late. They called the airline about the mistake at 8:40 p.m. The same day, the airline called Ryan and said it had contacted the pilot on the flight who was watching Logan. The 16-year-old male passenger was taken back to Tampa shortly after. The next day, Logan was flown to Cleveland as originally planned. "This ordeal has been stressful for all of us," Lose said.
This isn’t the first time an American passenger who was supposed to fly one place was sent to another. A passenger once boarded the wrong Spirit Airlines flight and ended up in Orlando instead of Ft. Myers.
