On the afternoon of June 20, Kien Giang Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion coordinated with Ha Tien City People's Committee to organize the opening ceremony of Ha Tien Tourism and Culinary Festival 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion - said that the Ha Tien Tourism and Culinary Festival 2025 is a series of events of the traditional festival commemorating the 290th anniversary of the death of the town's founder Mac Cuu (1735-2025).

Through this festival, the locality hopes to have businesses introduce typical OCOP products in the province, especially in Ha Tien.

The event is also a place for Ha Tien people to exchange and make delicious dishes such as palm cake, tet cake, pancake, dumpling, sam egg sticky rice, bun ken, bun xiem lo... or use fresh ingredients such as squid, crab, snail, grouper... in Ha Tien sea to make delicious dishes to serve tourists.

"We hope that through this event, we can contribute to stimulating tourism and promoting Ha Tien as a destination in the eyes of tourists," said Mr. Viet Anh.

Ha Tien Culinary Tourism Festival 2025 has many activities such as space to introduce Ha Tien cuisine; space to introduce and promote tourism, OCOP products, Kien Giang's typical products; workshop "Quintessence of Vietnamese Pho"; Ha Tien folk cake making contest; Beautiful booth decoration contest; promotion of rice noodle soup with shrimp and meat filling. The event takes place from June 20 to 22.

"Today I came to Ha Tien for tourism. I found Ha Tien to be a truly poetic and beautiful land with sea, mountains and forests. The local people are very friendly and the food is especially delicious. Coming to this festival, I saw many delicious dishes, but my favorite is the unique Bun Ken dish," Ms. Nguyen Thien Kim - a tourist from Dong Thap - happily said.
