Vietnam team will have big changes, Nguyen Xuan Son returns

According to Tuoi Tre Online , the list of Vietnam national team in the November training session will lack many U22 players. Coach Kim Sang Sik will transfer most of the young players to U22 Vietnam so that this group can focus on preparing for the 33rd SEA Games.

This group includes defenders Nguyen Hieu Minh, Nguyen Nhat Minh, midfielders Nguyen Xuan Bac, Nguyen Phi Hoang, and possibly goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, strikers Nguyen Thanh Nhan and Nguyen Dinh Bac. These players appeared in the Vietnam team during FIFA Days last October when the team prepared to play two matches against Nepal.

To make up for the above personnel shortage, the Vietnam team will welcome back a series of familiar faces similar to the list from the ASEAN Cup 2024. Among them is naturalized striker Nguyen Xuan Son.
