According to information from the People's Committee of Ba Diem commune, due to the influence of extreme weather phenomena, continuous heavy rains accompanied by high tides, and the impact of the overflow discharge of Dau Tieng lake, in Ba Diem commune from October 23 to October 27, along An Ha canal, water overflowed Dang Cong Binh street (from canal T10 - canal T9) causing severe flooding in hamlet 51, affecting people's lives and production, causing traffic insecurity.
Specifically, section 1 from T10 canal bridge to house number 12D, hamlet 51, length about 350m; section 2 from house number 26D - 33D, hamlet 51, length about 200m.
It is known that pumping station T9 of the Hoc Mon - Binh Chanh Irrigation Works Management and Exploitation Enterprise is undergoing maintenance and repair work so it cannot pump water to prevent flooding in the area.
To handle the urgent situation, the People's Committee of Ba Diem commune has provided materials and mobilized local forces to coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh City Irrigation Service Management and Exploitation Company Limited to temporarily overcome the situation of overflowing banks caused by high tides by building sandbags along the sidewalk of Dang Cong Binh street.
