A scary prospect for Yamal

Lamine Yamal will face serious consequences if he plays while not fully recovered, after being diagnosed with "pubalgia", also known as chronic pubic inflammation.

Sport reported that Yamal missed four of Barcelona's first 11 games of the season due to "pubalgia". Barca kept the information under wraps, but medical experts warned coach Hansi Flick to be extremely careful in managing the young player if he does not want his career to be ruined early.

A former doctor of the Catalan club stressed: "The most important thing is rest and physiotherapy. If you stop at the right time, you can recover in 3 or 4 weeks. But if you try to play when you have not healed, the consequences will be very serious."

Despite being only 18, Yamal has a huge workload to carry.
