Da Nang explodes with summer with colorful, multi-experience festivals

VHO - On the evening of June 20, at East Sea Park, Enjoy Danang Festival 2025 officially opened, kicking off a series of exciting summer days.

The event was elaborately and extensively organized, bringing a multi-experience cultural - entertainment - tourism space, affirming Da Nang's position as Asia's leading festival and event destination.

On the evening of June 20, thousands of residents and tourists flocked to East Sea Park to join in the opening atmosphere of the Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2025 - an event marking the start of a vibrant summer in the coastal city.

The event opened with a spectacular concert program, where sound effects, lights and choreography blended together to create an explosive artistic space.

Fiery melodies and passionate dance moves from artists such as MONO, Orange, My My, DJ Peeka... "lit up" the opening night, bringing a satisfying experience to the audience.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong affirmed that this year's festival is an "important piece" in the city's series of major activities, alongside the DIFF 2025 International Fireworks Festival or the Asian Film Festival.

With the message "Enjoy Da Nang - Multiple experiences", the city aims to build a brand as Asia's leading festival and event destination.

The new feature of the 2025 festival season is the companionship of Son La province with the art program "Colors of Son La", the space to experience Northwest culture and activities to promote highland tourism, contributing to creating a multi-ethnic cultural harmony right in the heart of the coastal city.

“Through this event, we hope to spread the image of Da Nang - Multi-experience, where visitors can enjoy a diverse, modern and high-quality tourism ecosystem - an ideal destination for both domestic and international visitors,” Mr. Cuong emphasized.

Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, Director of Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh presented flowers to the festival's sponsors and partners.

Colorful festival space

Not only an art playground, the Danang Enjoy Festival 2025 also offers a diverse range of culinary, cultural and entertainment activities at many locations from the beach to the Han River.

At the culinary space “Da Nang Summer Flavors”, more than 50 stalls bring together nearly 100 attractive dishes from different regions and internationally. Visitors can sip cool ice cream, enjoy specialties and immerse themselves in the bustling night music.

The art installation space “The Story of the Fishing Village” recreates coastal life through creative perspectives using rustic materials such as nets, baskets, buoys, etc. Combined with performances of “Ba Trao” singing and traditional musical instruments, this is where visitors can feel the rhythm of coastal life in the most intimate and artistic way.

The opening program was elaborately staged with vibrant and unique performances.

In particular, the artistic kite performance “Colors in the Sky” with hundreds of aerodynamic kites and LED lights simulating marine life turned the sky of Da Nang into a vivid aerial exhibition, making it impossible for visitors to take their eyes off.

At check-in points along the beach such as Man Thai, Nguyen An Ninh... models of basket boats, sups, giant sea creatures... help visitors easily "capture" impressive moments in the middle of an inspiring summer.

Vibrant sports and street art

This year's festival is also a playground for those who love exercise, exploration and outdoor experiences.

At the SUP Festival “Danang Colorful Festival”, visitors can try their hand at 1000m and 2500m double SUP races or relax by SUP paddling in the middle of the sea and sky of Da Nang. The sea atmosphere is more exciting with jetski and adventure canoe performances at My An and Pham Van Dong beaches, where professional coaches “show off” their surfing skills.

The thrill and novelty continued with the traditional basket boat rowing activity at Man Thai - a truly Central experience. Meanwhile, nearly 2,000 athletes joined the Barefoot Sand Run, contributing to spreading the spirit of healthy and green living and promoting the image of Da Nang beach to international visitors.

A space to cool off in the summer with cool dishes such as Dragon Bridge ice cream, fruits, soft drinks...

The culinary space "Da Nang Summer Flavors" takes visitors on a "taste tour" of the culinary world.

A new highlight of this year's festival is the sailboat performance on the Han River - where 15 colorful boats parade, creating a poetic scene right in the city center.

Besides, there was a yoga performance "Touching the Dawn in Da Nang" by nearly 700 people and a Zumba Flashmob stirring up the beach with nearly 200 participants - all together creating a youthful, energetic rhythm.

The festival atmosphere also spreads widely through street art programs taking place at APEC Park, Bach Dang walking street, and both banks of the Han River with Bai Choi singing, folk music, street dancing, hip hop dancing, etc. connecting the community and bringing art closer to the public.

From June 19 to 23, the Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2025 brings visitors a new "multi-experience" journey - from the sea to the city, from tradition to modernity. Not only contributing to stimulating summer tourism, the festival is also a "vibrant business card" bringing the image of Da Nang - a youthful, creative, energetic city - far and wide on the regional and international tourism map.
