International visitors to Noi Bai airport set a record on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2

Noi Bai International Airport said that on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the number of international passengers passing through the airport will increase sharply, with some days expected to reach nearly 44,000 - the highest ever.

The growth comes from the arrival of many international delegations to Hanoi to attend the ceremony, along with the expansion of connections of many new international flights opened at Noi Bai. The number of domestic tourists is also expected to increase when tens of thousands of people from all over the country flock to the capital to attend national cultural and artistic events.

It is estimated that on the peak day, Noi Bai will serve nearly 110,000 passengers and 638 flights, an increase of about 20% compared to the same period in 2024.

From August 14 to September 2, flight operations at Noi Bai International Airport will be bustling. Relevant units have coordinated closely, prepared response plans for emerging situations, ensuring minimal impact on commercial flight operations. The airport maintains a 24/7 duty regime at the Operation Coordination Center; transferred aircraft to a neighboring airport overnight to prioritize positions for international flights; and refueled flights to Noi Bai, ready to handle flight delays due to operations or weather.
