This is one of the cultural exchange and art performance activities carried out under the 3-year friendship cooperation and art exchange plan (2024 - 2026) between the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association and the Busan Theater Association, Korea.

The play The Joy of Doctor Manh's Family is imbued with traditional Korean folk culture. The story, with Vietnamese subtitles, tells the story of the family of Doctor Manh, a greedy man who always yearns for power and fame. That is also the reason why Doctor Manh decided to marry his daughter to the son of a Minister.

When the wedding was arranged, Mr. Manh heard rumors that the son of the Minister of Justice had a crippled leg. Not satisfied with his disabled son-in-law, he secretly arranged for the maid to be his substitute…

The story has many humorous details, directed by Choi Yong Huyk, interspersing dramatic performances with lively, vibrant music, close to modern entertainment trends, creating a lot of interesting laughter for the audience who are Koreans living, studying and working in Ho Chi Minh City and young audiences who are students at some universities in the city.

Previously, on November 8, the Busan City Theater Artists Group, Korea, with 26 members, came to Ho Chi Minh City to exchange and conduct 5 training sessions for young actors who are students of the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City, and young people studying art at the "training centers" of socialized theater stages.

This short training course will conclude with a presentation on November 17.

At the same time, three artists Jang Min Jae, Lee Tae Kyu and Lee Ju Han of the Busan City Theater Artists also spent a lot of time rehearsing with young actors in the play Romeo and Juliet .

With the play Romeo and Juliet, in October 2025, three actors Vo Thi Trang Nha, Bui Le Doan Trinh and Vo Thi Anh Minh from Ho Chi Minh City traveled to Busan, South Korea for 10 days to connect and practice with Korean artists. Up to now, when the Busan City Stage Artists Group came to Ho Chi Minh City, the crew of Vietnamese and Korean artists and actors continued to practice continuously for 10 days to complete this special play.
The play Romeo and Juliet will be performed on November 19, 2025.
