CHINA DAILY. The 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held in Beijing, China from October 17-18 with the participation of representatives from more than 140 countries and more than 30 international organizations.
XINHUA. Two refrigerated trains carrying fruits and vegetables left southwest China's Yunnan Province for Laos and Vietnam, respectively.

AFP. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has officially denied reports of a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to pave the way for foreign citizens to leave the strip for Egypt.

TASS. The Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministers had an in-depth exchange of views on a wide range of regional and international issues, including the increasingly tense situation in the Middle East and the conflict in Ukraine.

AFP. Pope Francis called for the establishment of humanitarian corridors for civilians in the Gaza Strip affected by the conflict between Hamas and Israel, and reiterated his call for Hamas to release hostages.
ANADOLU. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a phone call with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
CCTV. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that China's proposals on resolving the crisis in Ukraine are realistic and could form the basis for a future peace agreement.
TASS. The Russian government will allocate more than 2.2 billion rubles ($22.5 million) to develop the infrastructure of the electronics industry park over the next three years, Prime Minister Mikhail Mitshustin said.
