Opening of photo exchange and creation in Thua Thien Hue in 2024

Accordingly, the photo exchange and creation activities in Thua Thien Hue province in 2024 will gather 30 photography artists. The artists will have 7 days (from May 11-16) to participate in photography creation and exchange in Thua Thien Hue province.

Specifically, from May 11-12, artists will compose in Lang Co town, one of the most beautiful bays in the world , and Hai Van pass in Phu Loc district; On May 13, artists will return to Hue city to compose at relics such as: Khai Dinh king's tomb, Minh Mang king's tomb, Gia Long king's tomb, Tu Duc king's tomb, Hue Imperial Citadel, Linh Mu pagoda...; On May 14, they will compose at Quang Loi lagoon and Bao La bamboo and rattan weaving village (Quang Dien district), Phuoc Tich ancient village (Phong Dien district); On May 15, they will compose at Dong Ba market, Bao Vinh ancient town, Truong Tien bridge...; On May 16, they will freely compose.

Mr. Ma The Anh, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, said that the photo exchange activity organized this time aims to implement Decision No. 908/QD-BVHTTDL dated April 4, 2024 of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on organizing the Vietnam Art Photography Contest and Exhibition in 2024. This year, the Organizing Committee encourages creative works on the theme of preserving and promoting Vietnamese heritage. With the rich heritage complex of the poetic ancient capital, Mr. Ma The Anh hopes that photographers will create many high-quality works.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Information of Thua Thien Hue province, hoped that the photographers would focus on the theme of heritage and Hue life for their creations. The works after the exchange and creation will be a valuable source of materials to serve the propaganda and promotion of the local image in the coming time.
