Opening of the 24th Conference of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Term XIV

BTO - This morning, December 1st, the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee opened its 24th Conference (14th Term) to discuss and provide opinions on many important issues. The conference was chaired by comrades Duong Van An - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Thuan province; Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Doan Anh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending the Conference were members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, district and city Party committees, and subordinate Party committees.

Overview of the conference.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - emphasized: Under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the efforts of the entire political system, and the unity and solidarity of all strata of the people, Binh Thuan province has taken advantage of opportunities, overcome difficulties, and implemented the tasks of 2023 with fairly comprehensive results in all fields. Socio-economic development continued to progress, and people's living standards improved. Party building, mass mobilization, and the fight against corruption and negative phenomena were focused on and achieved many positive results.

Patriotic emulation movements have been launched and widely embraced. The strength of the great national unity has been consolidated and promoted. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that delegates focus their discussions on accurately assessing the achievements, clearly analyzing the limitations, weaknesses, and obstacles hindering the province's development; thereby identifying appropriate solutions to unify understanding and action, and implement them more effectively in the future.

At the conference, delegates will focus on discussing and evaluating the socio- economic situation, national defense and security; state budget revenue and expenditure; Party building and mass mobilization; internal affairs, anti-corruption and anti-negative practices in 2023, and key tasks for 2024.

Previously, the Provincial Party Committee had conducted a vote of confidence by the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee for the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, in accordance with Regulation No. 96 of the Political Bureau.
