Opening of the 2nd Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival

(BD) - On the evening of May 1, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Quy Nhon City), the 2nd Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival - 2025 officially opened.

Attending the festival were comrades: Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thuy Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; together with representatives of departments, branches, localities; Binh Dinh Tourism Association, Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Association, tourism enterprises, along with a large number of people and tourists.

Binh Dinh is a land of outstanding people, with a long history and a rich culture. In addition to the relic systems related to Sa Huynh culture, Cham temple architecture, Tay Son peasant movement, etc., Binh Dinh also has many intangible cultural heritages, such as: Traditional martial arts, folk singing, folk bai choi, folk festivals, traditional craft villages, along with famous landscapes, unique cuisines, which are potentials for exploiting cultural tourism products.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: In the journey of developing sustainable tourism in the province, cuisine is an indispensable part, because the dishes not only captivate people, but also carry within them the cultural, historical and traditional stories of the land and people of Binh Dinh, and have become "cultural ambassadors" to spread the image of Binh Dinh tourism to all regions.

In order for tourism to have a breakthrough development and achieve expected goals, Binh Dinh province has determined that in addition to effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of natural conditions, history and culture of the "land of martial arts, sky of literature", it will also build a variety of tourism products; in which, exploiting the strengths of local cuisine. Organizing the 2nd Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival in 2025 is not only an activity to stimulate tourism but also an opportunity for culinary quintessence to interact and also an opportunity to strongly promote the image of Binh Dinh - a friendly land, rich in identity and constantly striving to develop. Hopefully, this festival will leave many deep impressions in the hearts of every citizen and tourist with all the respect and hospitality of Binh Dinh people.

The 2nd Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival - 2025 was held from May 1 to 3 with 55 booths registered to participate; of which, there were 34 culinary booths from Thailand, Korea, Japan and provinces and cities in the country, such as: Gia Lai, Nghe An, Soc Trang, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Ben Tre, Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa. In addition, there were 19 booths displaying Binh Dinh culinary culture, 16 OCOP product booths of 11 districts, towns and cities in the province; 4 booths displaying and promoting tourism introducing Bau Da wine, Binh Dinh rice paper, and some other outstanding tourism products.

The unique highlight of this year's festival is the lively culinary demonstration space - where domestic and international artisans and chefs directly demonstrate their skills in preparing traditional dishes, telling cultural and historical stories through each flavor, bringing interesting experiences to visitors.
