Opening of Hanoi Main Data Center integrating the most modern technologies

(NLDO) - On December 6, the Hanoi People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Main Data Center at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, Hanoi.

This is one of the important events of Hanoi City in its efforts to complete the construction of core information technology infrastructure to serve the digital transformation and build the Hanoi Digital Government, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU dated December 30, 2022 of the Hanoi Party Committee on digital transformation, building a smart Hanoi by 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Integrating the most modern technologies, after more than 4 months of implementation, Hanoi State Data Center together with the Contractor Consortium has completed the establishment of the main Data Center infrastructure and completed the migration of more than 300 existing application systems of the City to the new infrastructure with high efficiency and flexibility. This is a great effort of Hanoi Department of Information and Communications in building core information technology infrastructure.

This is the place to converge and exploit big data from the fields of economy , society, transportation, health, education, etc.

With modern cloud computing technology, multi-layer security and flexible scalability, the Main Data Center not only ensures safety and efficiency in data storage and processing, but also integrates advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things, thereby creating great and practical values ​​with 3 goals for the government, 3 utilities for the people and 3 promoting business support.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Hai, the Center provides a synchronous and secure data infrastructure, helping management agencies analyze, forecast and make decisions based on data in a scientific, accurate and fast manner. Integrating data from management systems helps the government deploy online public services throughout the process, ensuring publicity, transparency and close supervision of administrative activities; creating a data connection platform between departments, branches, sectors and levels of government, helping to coordinate work more smoothly and effectively in all areas from administrative management to policy implementation.

The main Hanoi Data Center is located at the VNPT Data Center of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park (VNPT IDC Hoa Lac).

In particular, for the people, the Center supports the implementation of online public services, helping people to carry out administrative procedures quickly, conveniently, saving time and costs. In addition, with effective data exploitation, people are provided with appropriate utilities such as electronic health records, electronic identification via the VNeID application or real-time information on traffic and urban environment. "The multi-layered security system at the Center ensures that people's personal data is securely protected, reducing the risk of information leakage or misuse," Mr. Hai affirmed.
